What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?   I have researched before, for my secondary research, various media institutions that I thought were ideal for the genre I was going for. One of the media institutions is the Warner Bros. Time Warner Inc. is an American multinational media corporation headquartered in the Time warner centre in new York. I also thought Time Warner Inc. would be ideal to distribute my media product because it is the second largest media and entertainment conglomerate.  My media product has the features that would fit perfectly into a Warner Bros Inc. film, the mysterious genre and the horror. Warner Bros might distribute my media product because the context of the narrative is original and unique. Warner Bros have distributed  many horror films and has collaborated with other institutions such as Some of the most popular films created by Warner Bros are: Harry Potter, The dark knight and Slumdog Millionaire. 4. Who would be the audience for your media product?  Once I started planning and researching to develop my media product, I decided to represent young teenage girls, going through bullying.  My intended audience overall are teenage girls because the main character in my media product is also a teenage girl, so I thought it would be convenient to represent teenage girl thought the main character and her story.  The gender of the main character was very hard to decide, as girl suffer bullying much more than boys, so if I wanted to get my message across, I had to make my intended audience want to watch the movie. So gender really helped me to represent my chosen social group. The context of my media product overall, had to match my audiences thoughts and i also intended to make the audience identify themselves with the main character in my media product. The main character was one of the ways to represent teenage girls, but I also used...

In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?     In my media product it as essential to me to achieve a really good quality product that interested the audience.  My media product challenges other films that use horror and drama as a genre, personally, I developed my media product through the genre research and learning about the features of the genres I was then using for my own work. My film challenges real media products, as I used music and certain shots that I knew would leave the audience with question and create major suspense. Leaving the location unknown was one of my biggest challenges, as I went for Horror as my main genre, the location of my film opening was vital to create a sense of fear, and then with drama as my sub-genre I incorporated music and dramatic mise-en-scene to create panic. The setting and shooting location complimented the conventions of my media work, the typical ...
