Production logo reserch
- Before I even start my own personalised company logo for my film opening, I decided to do a little bit of research to understand more the use of a logo and what they resemble. A Production logo is a logo used by movie studios and television production companies to brand what they produce, production logos are normally seen at the beginning of a theatrical movie. Logos are either purely graphic or composed of the name of the organisation. A logo is the visual identity of a company, so the design is a very important area. The design of a company logo, will represent the company as a whole, so the colours used, the font, the name has to be carefully chosen by the company funders to represent them. Colour is a also a key element in logo design and plays and important part role in brand differentiation, colours tend to have connotations and associations so when choosing the colour for the logo, it has to be very well evaluated to fit in with what they are trying to convey through the logo. One of the company logos that I have researched about is:
- 20TH CENTURY FOX

Warner Brothers is very familiar production logo which is not very hard to memorise, the production logo can be used for different purposes, for example a different genre. Normally, Warner Brothers production logo has bright colours but the change of colours of the production logo, resemble the change of genre. The darker colours convey horror, and terror. Since the 1940s the Warner Brothers production logo has changed and improved in many different ways, yet the Warner Brothers kept the same concept from the 1940's so that it would become easy for the audience to identify their logo,
